Score 94/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Amazingly complex, pungent aromas of hazelnut, pineapple, lemon, peach, truffle, petrol, honey and resiny earth; like a cross between Hermitage blanc and Alsace pinot gris (rancio meets Raveneau?). Rich and supple but shapely and minerally in the mouth, with complex flavors of orange peel, lemon and game. This utterly fascinating, extremely fresh wine reminded me of a 25-year-old white Chave Hermitage from a great vintage.
