The 2017 Meursault Les Tillets is also showing very well, offering up aromas of Anjou pear, Meyer lemon, fresh pastry, oatmeal and iodine, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise palate that marries a delicately sun-kissed core of fruit with racy acids and chalky dry extract. This is well worth seeking out.

Initially less reductive and a touch more creamy on the nose than the St-Aubin Sur Le Sentier des Clous. But as it opens that struck match becomes more obvious. Very strongly in that reductive style but has the fruit to balance the winemaking. Delicious if you like this character. (JH)
