Tasting notes
(just seven barrels were produced from the estate's nearly two hectares of vines, which Baudin described as "a catastrophe"): Pale bright yellow. Apple, white peach and a floral note on the nose. Spicy and fresh; a nicely shaped wine with modest complexity and personality but good concentration. More saline than the above samples but I wanted a bit more fruity lift.

From several plots including Clos des Baronnes (bought with Lafon). 11 pièces. It will be sold only in the US because his fermage is underwritten by Americans. Tank sample. Rich and ripe on the nose – more so than usual! But then it’s lime and tight and Roulot on the end. Bravo! Very exciting finish. Great energy. (JR)
