Tasting notes
The 2017 Chablis is soft, pretty and beautifully perfumed. Light on its feet and gracious, the 2017 is absolutely gorgeous. Bright floral notes add sweetness and perfume to this impeccably balanced, gracious Chablis from Billaud-Simon.

Aromas of sweet citrus oil, iodine and smoke introduce the 2017 Chablis Villages (Maison), a medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural wine with a youthfully tight-knit profile and a saline finish. This contains some purchased fruit and is vinified and raised in stainless steel tanks.
I tasted this immediately after the Brocard Boissoneuse 2017 and it didn't seem as compelling on the nose. Correct but still rather restrained. Good and salivary though. Delicate and satisfyingly savoury. (JR)
