Tasting notes
The 2015 La Proportion Dorée is built on a core of Sémillon planted in 1953. A wine of rich, phenolic intensity, the Proportion Dorée offers terrific resonance in all of its facets. Readers should plan on cellaring it for at least a few years, as the Proportion Dorée really needs bottle age to be at its best. Expressive white orchard fruit and lightly tropical overtones develop in the glass, but the best is clearly yet to come.

Blended of 66% Sémillon, 32% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle, the 2015 La Proportion Doree has a gorgeous honeyed lemon, white peach and grapefruit-scented nose with hints of wax candles, honeysuckle, elderflower and baking bread. Full-bodied, rich, creamy and oh-so-seductive, the palate delivers a wonderful intensity of honeyed citrus flavors with a long, exotic spice and mineral-laced finish. With still loads to reveal, this classically styled white should age beautifully! 660 cases were made.
