Tasted blind. Mid gold colour. Slightly spirity on the nose, fiery peach fruit. Glossy, ripe stone fruit on the palate, tinned peaches and dried apricot. Quite fat, lacking a little drive, but certainly an easy-drinking pleasure. (TP)

The 2017 Rabaud-Promis was very primal on the nose with grapefruit, dried honey and touches of pineapple eventually emerging. The palate is well balanced with a rounded, peachy entry. There is plenty of tropical fruit here although I will be seeking more mineralité and terroir expression once this is in bottle.
Bommes. 80% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc. Pear and pinapple aroma. Broad and rich on the palate but finely balanced by the freshness. Depth and zip at the same time. (JH)
