2015 Colome Estate Malbec

(a blend of three vineyards, the lowest of them at an altitude of 1,700 meters): Bright medium ruby. Dark berries, tobacco leaf and black pepper aromas are joined by strong oak tones of cocoa powder and chocolate. A sweet, chocolatey, almost exotic style, but still with a faintly green element to its dark fruit flavors. This is thicker than the 2016 version but, like that wine, shows somewhat dusty, unrefined tannins. Lacks a bit of lift.
