Tasting notes
Grassy, herbal, tangy. Very much the verdant style of Sauvignon Blanc, with authentic smokiness on the palate. Layered and lengthy. Impressive and satisfying. (RH)

The 2014 Pouilly-Fumé Indigène is an extraordinary aromatic Pouilly with clear mineral, floral and fruity flavors in the nose. The old vines selections from silex parcels in Tracy sur Loire has been fermented and aged in stainless steel for 12 months. Full-bodied, fresh and elegant on the palate, this tightly woven and mineral wine is very compact and complex, whereas the finish is fresh, transparent, pure and grippy. The persistent aftertaste is full of tension and flavors of crushed stones with lemon oil and white fruits. An exciting Pouilly-Fumé!
Blended from a parcel-by-parcel selection of old vines planted on pure flinty soil in the heart of the commune of Tracy-sur-Loire. Matured on fine lees for 12 months in stainless steel. No filtration nor refrigeration before bottling. Indigène was given its name because of the indigenous yeasts responsible. 10,000 bottles filled. Very racy and lifted. Dancing. Light and lovely now. Bone dry and very notable acidity and green notes. Long. (JR)
