Tasting notes
A dazzling, heady wine, the 2015 Pinot Noir Moonshine Ranch is rich, creamy and voluptuous from start to finish. Silky tannins add to the wine's supple feel and immediacy. A core of bright red cherry, plum, rose petal, spice and French oak is pushed forward, while more subtle, savory and earthy notes linger beneath. The Moonshine Ranch is a super expressive, impeccably balanced Russian River Pinot from the Martinelli family.

Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Moonshine Ranch offers floral notes of roses and lavender over a core of black berries, mulberries, red plums and Chinese five spice. Full-bodied with a wonderfully opulent palate of black fruits and exotic spices, it delivers a very soft, finely grained mouthfeel and plenty of freshness, finishing long. About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
