Allen Meadows, Burghound, Apr 2018
Elegant and airy aromas of essence of red berries and a trace of earth lead to precise, delicious and energetic middle weight flavors that are shaped by ultra-fine grained tannins on the balanced, mildly austere and lingering finish. This is very La Justice in style, which is to say a Gevrey villages of refinement.

La Justice is about 1.5 km from Pressonnier, in more alluvial, sandy soils. Older vines than Pressonnier. Four barrels, none of which were new. Meatier nose than the Pressonnier just tasted. Bulkier palate – a bit jarring in comparision. All there but not integrated yet – a bit clunky for the moment. (EL)
