Score 92/100 · Drink 2015-2019, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Aug 2015

The 2013 A Lisa was from a fresh, cool growing season in Río Negro. The grapes fermented in stainless steel destemmed but uncrushed. Only 20% of the wine matured in barrel while the rest was kept in stainless steel until bottling just before the next harvest. It's mostly Malbec with 9% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, a mixture of estate-grown grapes in their property in the desert in the Valle Azul, and others from leased vineyards in Mainque. The nose is extremely fresh, floral and elegant, with notes of bright cherries and even some reminiscences of blood oranges. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine, slightly grainy tannins and great freshness, quite light on its feet. This is drinking very nicely now, but has great balance to develop in bottle. Superb quality for the price. 80,000 bottles produced.

A red with lots of spice, pepper and blackberry character. Distinct. Full to medium body, lightly chewy and a savory finish. Lots of bright character too. Drinkability with interest. A "drink me" wine. Malbec with a splash of merlot.
