Tasting notes
Intense in color, the 2016 Sancerre Le Paradis exhibits a ripe and concentrated tropical fruit bouquet over a seriously mineral background with notes of crushed stones. Full-bodied, elegant and fresh on the palate, this is a powerful and sustainably structured yet silky and fine Sancerre from limestone soils. It has salts, fruit and intensity that take this Paradis to an enormously long, tight, almost numbing and tensioned finish. Fine but firm tannins give serious grip. Impressive but pretty matured already. Tasted in February 2021.
