The 2016 Petit Chablis has a simple, primal, grapefruit-driven bouquet. The palate is simple with a slightly chalky opening and is quite fresh in the mouth but attenuates a little toward the finish. Drink over the next couple of years.
There is good Chablis typicity to the ripe pear and apple scents and it continues on the rich and vibrant flavors that possess an inner mouth perfume that is also based on apple, all wrapped in a lightly mineral-inflected finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth.
