Tasting notes
The 2014 Sancerre Clos de Beaujeu is in a beautiful spot, as the aromatics are just starting to show the first hints of evolution. Light tropical notes, chamomile, lemon confit and dried herbs are all nicely laced together in this open-knit, inviting Sancerre. Bright saline notes ensure that a number of years of fine drinking lie ahead. This is such a pretty and expressive wine.

The 2014 Sancerre Clos de Beaujeu is very clear, pure and mineral on the nose and displays white fruit, grapefruit and white blossoms as well as mineral aromas. There is a great finesse and elegance on the palate as well as a touch of sweetness, but the overall balance is simply perfect. The finish is dense and complex, revealing a tightly woven wine and a very persistent character without too much alcohol. Very stimulating and digestible. Piquant and salty, with a lovely grip and lingering salinity.
