Tasting notes
The 2014 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch is quite powerful, yet retains its distinctly mid-weight structure and personality. Lemon confit, white flowers and mint are some of the signatures, but it is the wine's energy and drive that are most in evidence today.

The 2014 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch has expressive scents of ripe peaches, honeydew melon and pink grapefruit with touches of toasted almonds, croissant and acacia honey. There’s a wonderfully rich, seductive and opulent quality to the palate with decadent creaminess to the texture and rich, ripe fruit, finishing long with a pleasant savory character coming through. This is a real hedonist’s wine!
The 2014 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch is beautifully centered. Hints of almond, white flowers and lemon peel flesh out in a Chardonnay that exudes depth. Oily and textured on the palate, yet also tightly wound, the Dutton Ranch appears to be holding back much of its potential.
About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
