Score 89/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016

From more than 50-year-old Pinot Noir vines on rocky flint soils, the red 2013 Sancerre Belle Dame has a pretty matured ruby color and offers aromas of autumn leafs, porcini, mocha and ripe cherries on the nose. Full-bodied, juicy and fresh, with a silky texture and a remarkable purity, this is a straightforward and still somewhat bitter Sancerre rouge whose firm tannins and austere minerality still need to integrate over the years.
