Tasting notes
Benoit Ente's 2015 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Truffière is lovely, offering up a youthfully reserved but pure nose of yellow orchard fruit, blanched almonds, nutmeg and white flowers. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, nicely concentrated and elegantly textural; with a lovely core of cool fruit, succulent acids and a penetrating, saline finish. The overall impression is effortlessly harmonious, and as this wine develops in the cellar, I expect it to become quite striking. The Clos de la Truffière is located high on the Puligny slope, just below the hamlet of Blagny and above Folatières.
