Score 88/100 · Drink 2016-2020, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2016

Cogno's 2013 Barbaresco Bordini is a pretty, gracious wine, but it also is a bit lacking in depth, not to mention the personality of the best years. Hints of crushed flowers, sweet tobacco, menthol and dried cherries are present, but the flavors are washed out and the wine shows elements of dilution. Overall, this is a disappointing wine from a usually much more reliable producer.
