The 2015 Chambertin Grand Cru felt a little more open than the Latricières-Chambertin on the nose, despite a touch of reduction. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, crisp acidity, layers of tensile red berry fruit interlaced with citrus-like notes on the finish. Again, Xavier has imparted impressive energy into his wine and the aftertaste lasts for more than a minute. This is a classy offering but it will require 5-6 years in bottle.
