A vinous nose, with summer red berries, red Bartlett pears, passion fruit, blueberry, black currant, and new leather. It’s intense, concentrated, and spectacular on the palate: damson jam, Concord grape jelly, and blueberry before the high alcohol reaches a climax, leaving a thick texture of deep plum, black currant, baked orchard fruits, muscovado sugar, and a touch of leather. Be generous with the water.
