Score 88/100 · Drink 2014-2017, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Feb 2014

The 2012 Meursault Village has an attractive bouquet with white peach, nectarine and a delicate touch of spice that opens nicely in the glass. The palate is smooth and caressing with nicely judged acidity, leading to a rounded, ginger-tinged finish that would benefit from just a little more length. Drink now-2017. Maison Chantereves was founded by Guillaume Bott and Tomoko Kuriyama. Tomoko told me when I tasted the wines in London that the white come from outsourced juice since it is proving too difficult sourcing grapes. Their first vintage was in 2010. Importer: no known US importer, but available through Flint Wines in the UK.

Spiced citrus, with a touch of just-ripe apricot. Gentle on the palate, but there's freshness and harmony. Again, made with sensitivity to the vintage. (JH)
