Tasting notes
One of the best wines Hostens Picant has ever made is this potential sleeper of the vintage. With lots of black currant and plum-like fruit, hints of Asian spices, oak and earth, it is medium-bodied, concentrated, fleshy and ideal for drinking over the next 3-4 years. I also liked their Cuvee Exception Lucullus, but I thought the oak was somewhat overdone, so readers should be aware.
