Tasting notes
Limpid onion skin. Powerful mineral-tinged red berry, melon and pit fruit aromas show excellent focus, and a sexy floral nuance emerges slowly. Sappy, palate-coating peach nectar, raspberry and honeydew flavors gain vibrant lift and cut from a minerally element. Decidedly rich, but there's wonderful energy here as well. Shows a vibrant mineral quality on the impressively persistent finish, which features a lingering floral quality.

Grenache and Vermentino/Rolle. The trademark very, very pale salmon pink from Sacha Lichine. Made in demi-muids, some new. Rather sweet and creamy on the nose. Very big and bold – very Grenache initially and then with some of Vermentino's citrus raciness on the end. Proper, classy Provençal rosé. Lightly bitter on the end at this point, but it's no shy retiring flower. (JR)
