Tasting notes
Based on 100% Tinto Fino, the 2014 Ribera Del Duero Torresilo is a youthful, vibrant effort that has tons to love. Black raspberries, graphite, lead pencil, and dried soil notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied red that has fine, polished tannin, good mid-palate depth, and a balanced, classic Ribera Del Duero style. It still has some oak to integrated yet is a beautiful, elegant wine that's going to keep for 10-15 years.

A wine that always show some oak when young, the 2014 Torresilo, especially the smoky and roasted aromas, was not an exception this year, and those notes are yet to be integrated. It also has some lactic and spicy aromas over a core of properly ripe berry fruit. The palate has the house signature style of sleek, elegant and polished tannins, quite harmonious, balanced and fresh. It combines classical and modern profiles. Well done! 15,000 bottles.
