2014 Pinot Noir Rincon Vineyard

(aged for 15 months in French oak, 30 percent of it new) Lurid ruby. Vibrant, mineral-laced red berry and floral pastille scents pick up hints of cola, vanilla and Asian spices with air. Juicy, focused and appealingly sweet, offering sappy raspberry and cherry-cola flavors, along with five-spice powder and rose nuances in the background. Closes impressively long and sweet, displaying resonating red fruit character and silky, harmonious tannins that sneak in late.
