Tasting notes
Vivid and beautiful with currant and blackberry character. Full to medium body, a solid core of fruit and ripe tannins. Lots of potential here. Well done. Mar 2017, www.jamessuckling.com

I always wonder why this estate isn't better known, given that it has the appellation name on the label. Perhaps because it is often subdued during the primeurs, although it often comes into its own at around five years old in my experience, making it a good medium term choice. It shows width rather than length at this stage, with well worked tannins. A full 70% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend here, matched to 30% Merlot, aged in up to 50% new oak. From 6ha on sandy gravel soils planted to 10,000 vines per hectare. Apr 2017, www.decanter.com, Drink: 2023-2038
