The 100% Merlot 2016 Bad Boy is another winner from this label, with classic Bordeaux notes of red and black cherries, graphite, tobacco, and damp earth in its charming, fresh, medium-bodied personality. It's not going to make old bones, but it’s undeniably delicious and high quality.
The 2016 Bad Boy offers straightforward blackberry and boysenberry fruit on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy black fruit, touches of cedar and tar and a slightly saline finish. Glug away to your heart's content over the next two or three years.
This offers attractive plums and dark berries with some stony notes, too. The palate has a very plush and rich array of succulent plum-flavored fruit with good structure and depth. Try from 2022.
