Tasting notes
Plenty of bitter chocolate and ripe blackberries here, but thereâs also enough acidity and moderately dry tannins to keep it clean and lively. Drink or hold.

The 2016 Messile-Aubert is absolutely gorgeous. Beautifully focused and bright, with vibrant red cherry, raspberry and floral flavors, the 2016 is a striking, mid-weight wine endowed with terrific energy. Blood orange and chalky notes add brightness to this super-expressive Montagne Saint-Émilion. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
Dark red/purplish fruit and expressive floral notes are front and center in the 2016 Messile-Aubert. Plump and nicely balanced, it should offer plenty of drinking pleasure upon release. There is certainly a lot to like.
