Tasting notes
The 2015 Bolgheri Rosso is an absolutely gorgeous wine to drink now and over the next few years. Sweet floral notes, raspberry jam, spice and new leather are all pushed forward in a succulent, inviting Bolgheri red with tons of near and medium term appeal. Silky tannins add to the wine's polished, sexy personality. There is so much to like.

The 2015 Bolgheri Rosso is mostly Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The Merlot is harvested on the early side in order to preserve acidity, meanwhile the other varieties are harvested a bit later to add softness and roundness. In order to highlight the crispness of the fruit, one-fourth of the mass is aged in cement and the rest goes into various types of neutral barrel. This terrific wine boasts firm lines and a soft, cherry-driven core. The finish offers a quirky collection of exotic spice aromas that are mild and subtle. Some 130,000 bottles were produced.
