Crushed flowers, sweet mint, vanillin, pine, dried red cherries and anise give the 2013 Barbaresco Bric Turot its gracious, lifted personality. I would prefer to drink the 2013 sooner rather than later, as the 2013 does not appear to have the depth to support extended cellaring.

Barbaresco. Just mid ruby with watery orange rim. Savoury and a little stalky and green on the nose and with a hint of vanilla. Stalky cherry palate with vanilla notes. Seems to lack a little bit of ripeness, even if the fruit comes out on the finish. (WS)
