Anticipated maturity: 2018-2033. Brezza remains one of the best-kept secrets in traditionally-made Barolo. (made from the high portion of the vintage, with the selection made at harvest-time): Medium red. Slightly reduced aromas of raspberry, black cherry, mocha, smoke and rose petal. Rich and pliant; seems much riper than the regular Sarmassa but also possesses more energy. Finishes with sweeter tannins and very good length. In comparison to this wine, the Sarmassa comes across as dull.
