Tasting notes
The 2015 Savigny Les Beaune Les Peuillets 1er Cru is a model of total precision and class. Here, too, the flavors are bright and beautifully lifted throughout. The 33% whole clusters are not especially evident, although they almost certainly contribute to the wine's sculpted personality . - Antonio Galloni

The 2015 Savigny les Beaune 1er Cru les Peuillets offers a subtle creaminess on the nose, raspberry coulis and cranberry aromas developing in the glass, hints of dried fig attesting the warmth of the growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins lending this a foursquare feel, correct and linear with good mineral tension towards the finish. Give this 2-3 years in bottle and it should be doling out pleasure.
Just by the motorway! 30% whole bunch. Due to be bottled in February 2017. Dark glowing crimson. Very firm tannins on the end. A solid wine! Lots to chew on. Slightly dry on the end and just a little demanding. Not a charmer now. (JR)
