A wine unto itself, intense, deep and long; the vines are deep-rooted, and the grapes retain good acidity that provides both length and balance for the fruit expression of crushed lemon leaf, lemongrass and Meyer lemon.

Intense mix of lime and lanolin on the nose, then more herbal on the palate. Fine freshness and lovely depth of fruit, nutty finish, promising much greater complexity. Citrus dominates now. (JH)
Flinty nose, quite restrained compared with the 2015 Wilyabrup Semillon. Undertow of wet stones on the nose and then very dramatic breadth and ripeness on the palate. Very taut and tense. Very vibrant finish. Lots of excitement here. (JR)
(all stainless steel): Light, bright yellow. Vibrant, mineral-tinged aromas of tangerine, pear, jasmine and candied ginger, with a hint of white pepper emerging slowly. Dry and sharply focused on the palate, offering bitter citrus zest and pear skin flavors that deepen and spread out slowly with air. At once densely packed and lively, this terrific Semillon finishes with excellent clarity and mineral persistence.
