Bright yellow. Musky scents of apricot, peach and oak. A bit tight but already delivers an old-vines intensity to its ripe, fine-grained stone fruit and mineral flavors. Harmonious acidity frames the fruit and gives grip to the long, firm, honeyed finish. Still a bit youthfully aggressive, this superb Poruzots should age well.

(this finished its malo and was sulfured a week before my visit; from vines harvested on September 3): Aromas of lemon, white flowers and stone. A juicy wine with lovely acid cut. Tight today owing to the recent sulfuring but I like this wine's brisk lemony citricity. Will this be as incisive once the sulfur has been absorbed?
