Tasting notes
Rich, ripe fragrance on the nose, with lovely earthy notes adding interest. Furry tannic feel, fairly light body and modest length. (RH) (JR)

The 2015 Chorey-les-Beaune La Piece du Chapitre, a monopole belonging to the domaine that (alas) is not sold in the United States, is matured in 25% new oak. It has a perfumed nose with darker fruit than the regular village cru. The palate is smooth on the entry thanks to the fleshy tannin. Red cherries mix with blueberry with a smear of marmalade on the finish. It is not the most persistent 2015 in the block, but it is very well crafted and feels persistent in the mouth. In a word - delicious.
