Tasting notes
(these 2015s were bottled in March of 2017): Bright ruby-red. Reticent nose began with redcurrant and tobacco, then showed darker aromas of black and blue fruits with air. Fat, sweet and plush, with its dark berry flavors complicated by spices, licorice and violet. Gentle, ripe tannins saturate the palate on the long, smooth, slightly chocolatey finish. Plenty of stuffing here!

(these vines were picked at the end): Bright red-ruby. Restrained, very primary aromas of medicinal black cherry, licorice and bitter chocolate. A bit less exuberant than the Beaune Cent-Vignes but dense, ripe and sweet in the style of the year. The impression of medicinal reserve is accentuated by minerality. This slightly tough wine finishes with serious tannins and good persistence.
