2014 Haut Brisson

The 2014 Haut Brisson has a straightforward red berry, earthy bouquet, a little rustic perhaps but with plenty of fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, very well balanced, a fine line of acidity and a hint of espresso on the harmonious finish. This Saint Emilion will drink very well over the next decade.

The 2014 Haut-Brisson is a very pretty Saint-Émilion. Sweet red cherry jam, iron and expressive floral notes are nicely delineated. From bottle, the 2014 is a bit more restrained than it was from barrel, but it is just as delicious and impressive. The blend is 95 % Merlot and 5 % Cabernet Franc.

The 2014 Haut-Brisson is an attractive St.-Emilion with lovely textural balance and a supple, inviting personality. The jammy, floral flavors are already quite expressive in this open-knit beauty. The 2014 is 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Tasted two times.
