2013 Cotes du Roussillon Bila Haut L'esquerda

From what I consider one of the top terroirs for Syrah in the Roussillon, the 2013 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Lesquerde l’Esquerda comes from the higher-elevation, granite soils located around the village of Lesquerde. Made from 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache and brought up all in concrete tank, it offers up fabulous minerality in its raspberry, blackberry, licorice, violets and crushed-rock-like bouquet. Medium-bodied, supple, elegant and seamless, with impressive purity, freshness and length, drink this terrific Roussillon over the coming 5-7 years.
