Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2017-2027, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

The 2014 Savigny les Beaune 1er Cru les Marconnets has a deeper color than the other Savigny Premier Cru. The nose is richer and more generous with gorgeous blackcurrant and boysenberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and there is good density here with a fresh, minerally, stoic finish that just needs time to open. This is an impressive, moreover delicious Savigny in the making.
