Pale gold. Dried lemon, pear skin and a hint of honey on the nose. Smooth and seamless on the palate, displaying fleshy pit and orchard fruit flavors that develop some dryness on the back half. In a weighty style, offering good closing punch and a lingering note of bitter lemon pith.

The medium-bodied, clean, crisp and balanced 2014 Côtes du Rhône Samorens Blanc offers plenty of citrus, white flowers and minerality on the nose. Made from Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Clairette brought up all in stainless steel, it’s a rock solid white that’s ideal for starting a meal with over the coming 2-3 years.
