Tasting notes
Tasted blind. Serious, savoury nose. Masses of weight and serious intent. Really quite thrilling. Flirtatious undertow. So rich and concentrated! (JR)

The 2015 Rieussec is very elegant and refined on the nose of crushed white flowers, albumen and hints of saffron. The oak is very well integrated. The palate is balanced and perhaps the most unctuous of the Sauternes, filling and lacquering the mouth with honeyed fruit. Maybe it needs just a touch more acidic bite on the finish, but this is delicious. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting.
The 2015 Rieussec has a fragrant and quite floral bouquet, scents of yellow flower and earthy aromas filtering through the honeyed fruit. The palate is well balanced with a tang of marmalade and quince on the entry. This is pure and creamy in texture with shades of coconut and crème brûlée toward the punter, friendly finish. Lovely. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.
