The 2015 Connétable de Talbot is a pretty wine to drink now and over the next few years. Succulent dark cherry, new leather, licorice, smoke and exotic spice give the Connétable much of its forward personality. There is a slightly vegetal quality to the 2015 that I am not crazy about. Otherwise, this is a solid second wine from Talbot.

The 2015 Connetable de Talbot is medium to deep garnet-purple with warm black fruit and dried herbs on the nose with touches of fungi and pencil lead. The medium-bodied mouth is firm, a little lean and hard.

The 2015 Connétable de Talbot is an attractive second wine from Talbot. Sweet red cherry pit, white pepper and mint give the 2015 much of its lithe, feminine personality. The Connétable shows the more delicate side of Saint-Julien and is best enjoyed sooner rather than later.
