Score 86/100 · Drink 2015-2020, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Village Rouge, which was taken from vat, has a straightforward raspberry and cranberry leaf-scented bouquet, just a touch of herbaceousness in the background. The palate is well balanced, a little rustic with blocky red fruit, and slightly hard towards the finish that will hopefully flesh out by the time it is in bottle.

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Villages, matured in 15% new oak with part of the crop matured in stainless steel, possesses good volume on the nose with citrus fruit and lime flower leaping from the glass. This is a nose with a spring in its bounce. The palate is taut and crisp, very well balanced, lively and tensile, with the complexity nudging premier cru in quality. This is one of the best Chassagne Villages that you will find. Nice one, Sabine! Dec 2015, www.robertparker.com
