To be bottled end of February. Fine, dense, steely (first time I have used that word about a 2014, I think). Lots tucked in here. Should eventually unfurl. (JR)

The 2014 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru les Folatières is more taciturn on the nose compared to the Les Pucelles, here, showing a touch of oyster shell, a subtle marine/crustacean influence. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry with good density in the mouth, a little richer than the Pucelles though without the same finesse and nervosité on the finish, at least at the moment. Give it 3-5 years in bottle because it may well offer more, because I like the salinity on the aftertaste.
