Tasting notes
Pale, bright yellow with a green tinge. Pure, complex, soil-driven aromas and flavors of citrus fruits, white peach and crushed stone. This rather powerful example of Perrières displays terrific stony density, with lovely citrus lift owing to the nicely integrated acidity. Strong minerality draws out the finish.

The 2014 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, which was not impacted by the hail, has a crisp, flinty bouquet that opens nicely in the glass. The palate is fresh and crisp with lime zest, apricot and a hint of peach, counterpoised by well judged acidity and a sense of depth and harmony on the finish. If it can muster just a little more mineralité, this will be a wonderful Perrières.
