Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Tollot-Beaut's 2014 Corton Grand Cru has a clean, pure bouquet with red cherries and cranberry scents that seem to billow with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a sensual opening, plenty of supple red cherry and strawberry fruit with a touch of spice toward the finish. This is a delicious red Corton that should drink well for 12 to 15 years. Tasted September 2017.

Medium red. Considerably more complex and perfumed on the nose than the Grèves, offering scents of red cherry, red licorice, rose petal and earth. The wine's penetrating red fruit and soil flavors show good freshness and cut, with hints of menthol and mint emerging on the back end. There's still a touch of tannic dryness here but the wine has the easily digestible saline quality of the year. Nathalie Tollot-Beaut suggests giving this wine five years in the cellar.

(from the southeast-facing climat Les Combes, but not indicated on the label; 50% new oak): Bright medium red. A step up in aromatic complexity from the preceding samples, offering scents of red cherry, redcurrant, dried flowers and clove. Displays a restrained sweetness but a silky texture and subtle soil-driven perfume to its flavors of redcurrant, spices, tobacco and earth. Still a bit herbal and minty but there's good fruit ripeness here as well.
