Score 89+/100 · Drink 2020-2028, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2016
Good bright, dark red. Subtle, high-pitched aromas of blackberry, ink and violet. Then very subdued in the mouth, showing less éclat than the two Gevrey premier crus. Seems a bit flat and lacking sweetness of fruit: am I missing something? Finishes stubbornly backward, with a broad dusting of slightly drying tannins and lingering flavors of dark berries and chocolate. A bit slight and dry for grand cru.
