Tasting notes
The only wine not tasted at the domaine, the 1999 Champagne Millesime Extra Brut is a stunner today and boasts remarkable freshness, depth, and purity. It’s seamless with aromas of ripe apricot, praline, orange marmalade, crushed stones, and fresh flowers. The palate is full and pure, with an ultra-fine mousse, the silky texture of citrus oils, and an incredibly long finish. If you have some of this in cellar, this might be a great time to check in, as this bottle is quite close to perfection. Drink 2025-2035. The wines for this report were tasted at the cellar in Avize with Anselme Selosse in September 2024.
