Tasting notes
The 2014 Riesling Smaragd Dürnsteiner Kellerberg shows a deep and dusty bouquet of crushed stones intertwined with white fruits, lemon peel oil and refreshing vegetal flavors. This Riesling is full-bodied, elegant, very salty, fresh and linear on the palate, with a piquant acidity. This is a very pure and stony Riesling full of grip and detonating tension. There is great definition and complexity here, with lemon flavors in the finish. Still very young, but stimulating and with great aging potential.

Headily fragrant and lusciously mouth-filling honey-slicked peach and mango are complemented by incisive pepper, piquant peach kernel, pungent green herbs, smoky tobacco, zesty citrus peel and shimmering crushed stone. Sheer energy seems to reverberate in an unforgettably ravishing and sustained finish.
