Tasting notes
Smoky, struck-match seduction on the nose and palate, then intense, mouth-watering freshness and incredibly youthful on the palate. Gorgeous in fruit purity and smoky complexity. Chewy, savoury and immensely persistent.

Candied peach, lime and ginger on the nose and palate, plus a suggestion of exotic fruits. Nicely rich wine, with a hint of toasty lees, but kept brisk by penetrating mineral-driven acidity. This has the balance for a graceful evolution in bottle.
The 2013 Meursault les Vireuils has a pleasant reduction on the nose: walnut and a wholemeal bread scents emerging with time (is this Benjamin's paean to Coche?) The palate is crisp on the entry with subtle tropical nose: pineapple and melon, hints of dried honey. This is harmonious in the mouth with a bitter-lemon note adding spark on the finish. Very fine, especially for those that enjoy that reductive style of Meursault.
